The Baglady designed these lamp bags out of her own need to transport her lamp to stitching retreats out of state on the airplane. They will fit lengthwise in the overhead compartment or in a 36" rolling duffle or suitcase.  Put clothes over and under it and your lamp is very safe in your luggage for use at your destination.  If your suitcase is soft sided, you can put a little bubble wrap around the lamp as an added precaution.  There is purposely no pocket on the inside of the bag since you wouldn't want any hard objects to harm your lamp.  They have a zippered pocket on the outside to put your lamp clamp or anything else you might want to carry.
